Suzy Murphy ( Owner/Director)
Suzy has over 21 years’ experience as a consultant and independent trainer in further education teaching. Suzy started as a trainer in 1997, first completing her ‘Train the Trainer’ in Moving and Handling within the NHS. Suzy has taught in academic establishments and the social care sector as well as the third sector and private providers and has completed her Diploma in Teaching in the Lifelong Learning Sector (DTLL's) level 5.
Suzy started First Step Training 11 years ago and in that time has delivered and written programmes for AGE UK (formerly Age Concern), resource packs for the UKHCA and has a history of delivering training to MENCAP, as well as providing training to private care providers specifically in relation to dementia, personalisation, care/support planning, risk management, equality and diversity. Suzy is a qualified First Aid instructor.
When not working Suzy loves spending time with her daughter, travelling and cooking up a storm for her family.
