Our new course designed to teach first aid skills to children and young people
31 May 2018

Training a new generation of lifesavers

We are very excited and pleased to tell you about our new course, which aim's to train children and young people basic life support skills, in a way that is fun and educational.

The course is 3 hours long and jargon-free. Children gain knowledge and confidence in learning basic life support skills, wounds and bleeding and how to recognise when someone needs help and what they should do.

There is a lot of research that tells us that in other European countries the survival rate from a heart attack or cardiac arrest is 10% higher because essential skills like these are taught from a very early age in schools.

Our course is aimed at 8-11-year-olds, but can be tailored to any age group.

“The training was amazing. I really understand that safeguarding is everyone's concern. The activities and debates made us think about how we work and what we need to do to include the person's views. Loved it, and want to learn more.   Senior Support Worker  Suffolk  ”
